An independent medical writer with an almost unhealthy passion for slide design. Al, a veteran science writer, spent much of his career sitting through presentations that seemed to prize information density and visual complexity. Galvanized, he set out to prove that even the most technical presentations could be clear, minimalist—beautiful, even. Al is also the author of the non-fiction psychology bestseller Persuadable (HarperCollins) selected by the Wall Street Journal as one of its books of the month and has been a frequent contributor to top outlets such as Harvard Business Review and Psychology Today. Al lives on the Upper West Side of New York City with his six-year-old dog, a pugnacious potcake named Roxy.
